Bali
Bogans and Bintangs. Singlets and Schapelle. Partying and poverty. Sunsets and scooters. It’s not as nice as everyone says. It’s not as cheap as everyone says. The traffic is horrendous. It’s the biggest tourist trap on earth. But it’s charming. The locals - at least, the ones not trying to sell you valium or worthless trinkets on dirty streets- are beautiful and warm. If you seek it out, Bali is often beautiful. It’s sometimes depressing, but it’s always fun. The only way I can sum it up: everyone will experience Bali a different way. And what you think of it when you fly home is a pure reflection of you.
